Supporting the local economy
Our software and technical solutions are all developed in-house at our West Yorkshire HQ – nothing is off-shored or outsourced. We have a long tradition of making the most of the abundance of talent local to us! Our teams regularly attend the recruitment fairs of our neighbouring universities and high schools, offering a range of roles from apprenticeships to summer placements and permanent graduate opportunities.
Technical support is also provided by our team here in Bradford – customers are not rerouted to external service agents. We are proud to deliver our service 100% from West Yorkshire! Huge investment has been made in expanding our operating premises, maintaining our local position and providing great employment opportunities to local people. A raft of new job opportunities have been created in recent times – on top of the 20 jobs created in 2012, a further 40 new roles were filled in 2013. Staffing levels have passed the 150 mark (as of November 2013) and are set to increase further in line with our continued growth.
Investors in People
Eclipse has a long history of developing talent internally. In 2013 we were awarded the Investors in People accreditation. Many members of staff who joined the company in entry level positions have now advanced into senior management. Personal development is a prime focus for Eclipse, and the company constantly rewards all staff through such schemes as a free company gym, and an annual paid-for company conference to locations such as Portugal and Italy. We have an open-door and inclusive culture, the result being an enviably low staff turnover. Each member of staff benefits from a full planned training program and regular two way meetings with management as part of a structured career path.
Active in the community
Eclipse has long been keen to help both National and local charities, and regularly both organises and participates in a number of charity events raising thousands of pounds each year for local charities such as Barth Syndrome, Candlelighters and Martin House. The charity events range from auctions of surplus IT equipment through to physical sporting challenges such as the Leeds Half Marathon, the Jayne Tomlinson ‘Blockbuster’ hikes and the 71 mile Otley Sportive Cycle. Over £8,000 was raised in 2013.
As an environmentally conscious organisation, we try to reduce the impact our day to day processes have on the environment. For example, we proactively reduce the waste output in our offices through our recycling policy which includes the installation of recycling stations in every department. A green ethos is supported by our own Proclaim system which enables our clients to operate in a truly paperless environment, adopting a ‘scan and digitise’ culture.
