Case Management Software provider, Eclipse Legal Systems, reached the grand old age of 20 on 11th May!
Starting life as a bespoke system developer for an insurance organisation in 1987, Eclipse has grown to become one of the industry’s leading developers of Case Management solutions. Initially developing a presence in the Personal Injury software markets, the firm’s areas of expertise now encompass the full range of legal services, with volume work processes such as Conveyancing, Remortgage, Debt Recovery – and of course Personal Injury – being areas of particular strength.
Original founder, Steve Ough, is now the firm’s Technical Director and, along with Sales Director Russell Thomson, heads up a team of 55 staff.
Eclipse has developed an enviable reputation for organic growth, and can boast an end-user increase of 300% since 2001. The firm’s Proclaim solution is now in use by over 6,000 individuals at around 350 organisations.
Indeed, the financial year 2005-6 was the firm’s best ever (with turnover at ?3.2million, and profit at over ?500,000) and recent months have seen Eclipse win awards from Deloitte (in its annual ‘Fast 50’ technology firm awards) and the Chamber of Commerce (achieving the top “High Growth Business” award as recently as 29th March). In addition, January saw Eclipse nominated for a Legal Technology Award in the ‘Integrated System of the Year’ category.
